Cardano price faced rejection around the daily resistance at $0.84 on May 13 and declined 10% in the next four days. This daily level coincides with the 50% Fibonacci retracement ( drawn from the March 3 high of $1.17 to the April 7 low of $0.51) at $0.84, making this a key resistance zone. However, ADA retested and found support around its 200-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $0.71 on Sunday. At the time of writing on Tuesday, it trades slightly down at around $0.73.
Santiment’s Daily Active Addresses index, which tracks network activity over time, paints a bearish picture for Cardano. A rise in the metric signals greater blockchain usage, while declining addresses point to lower demand for the network.

The SEC has targeted crypto exchanges like Binance, Coinbase and others for allegedly operating unregistered securities exchanges. That scrutiny came after the high-profile meltdown of FTX, the exchange founded by disgraced crypto mogul Sam Bankman-Fried.
“To date, the SEC has relied primarily on enforcement actions to regulate crypto retroactively and reactively, often adopting novel and untested legal interpretations along the way,” the agency said in announcing the task force. “Clarity regarding who must register, and practical solutions for those seeking to register, have been elusive.”
The Task Force will operate within the statutory framework provided by Congress and will coordinate the provision of technical assistance to Congress as it makes changes to that framework. The Task Force will coordinate with federal departments and agencies, including the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and state and international counterparts.
On February 13, a federal judge granted a joint request by the SEC and Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, to pause their ongoing litigation while they await new rules from the crypto task force. The SEC petitioned for a similar pause on Wednesday in a separate case against Justin Sun, the Chinese crypto entrepreneur who recently announced he had invested $75 million in a crypto project with ties to the Trump family.
SEC Chair Gary Gensler has said that some of the major crypto exchanges “are likely trading securities” and thus need to register with the SEC. “When a new technology comes along,” Gensler said, “our existing laws don’t just go away.” Gensler has also urged more enforcement of stablecoins and other crypto tokens.
